The leader and founder of the Anti-Shinra group Avalanche. Barret was tutored by an astronomer in the Cosmo Canyon where he learned about life and about the planet. He now tries to do whatever possible to keep Shinra from destroying the planet. �He blames himself for the destruction of his village, when in fact, it was caused by The Shinra reactor. In that same incident Barret lost his arm and had a gun grafted into it to replace his hand. He is often angry and seeks revenge on Shinra for the death of his wife. �He now lives for his daughter Marlene. �He is a good character to use near the beginning of the game, but later on I would rather have Vincent or Cid in my party.
