Cloud was born in Nibelheim, and has idolized Sephiroth since he was very young, and always hoped to be just like him.  He left his home to join SOLDIER, and was promoted to SOLDIER First Class.  After certain events happened, he resigned from SOLDIER and became a mercenary.  After being hired by Barret and Tifa to join AVALANCHE, he gets caught up in the struggle to save the planet.  He pretends not to care about anything but money, but in truth he really believes in what he is fighting for.  Cloud is the most powerful character in the game, with high HP and MP, as well as superb magic skills.  His Limit Breaks are very powerful, and should not be held back.
