Did you know about the secret characters? Well read on and you shall find out what I'm talking about. There are two secret characters in this game. Yuffie, a fairly good all round character who uses all long rang weapon and gives you the "Throw" materia and Vincent. Vincent is a very powerful and useful charactor. He is personally one of my favourite usable charactors in the game. He becomes one of the strongest players in the game and has some cool limit breaks.

Yuffie

You will find Yuffie pretty early in the game. On Disk one when you get to the Chocobo Ranch go south and there is a swamp will be a big snake "Midger Solemn" in it. Get to the other side of the swamp. There will be a caveon the other side. Now go through the cave and you will come out on the otherside of a mountain range. From here you can see Fort Condor. Go like you regularly would to Junon, on the way, you will pass forests on either side of a stream you can cross. Go into the forest and fight. Sooner or later you will fight a mystery ninja. It could take along time to finally find the mystery ninja, but you will eventually. After you beat her, which is not hard, it will show your team, broken up, and the ninja will be lying on the ground. There will also be a save mark--be sure not to go to it--if you do, then the Mystery Ninja will be gone and 700 Gil will be stolen. Go talk to the Mystery Ninja instead and she will say, "You Spikey Head jerk!! One more time, lets go one more time!"

All you have to answer is, "Not interested."

Now she will say, "You're pretty scared of me, huh!?"

Just tell her, "........petrified."

She will then say, "I'm gonna leave, I mean it!"

Say, "Wait a second!"

Once you say this she will tell you, "You want me to go with you?"

Reply by saying, "........That's right."

She should say "All right! I'll go with you!"

Your final reply will be, ".......Lets Hurry."

YOU'VE DONE IT, FROM NOW ON, YOU WILL HAVE YUFFIE ON YOUR TEAM!!!!




Vincent

Now that you know how to get Yuffie, I will tell you about Vincent. Ok, when you visit Neibleheim (this is not in Cloud's dream) go fight the monster that is in the safe. After you have defeated the monster, go down to the library at the basement of the mansion. Before you enter the library, there will be a screen that, if you go to the top, you will see a door. This is a secret. So if you have the help indicator on, the accessory that has the red and green arrows, it will not be on the door. Find the well hidden, almost camouflage door, and go into it. You will see a variety of coffins. Go to the one that is a different color, and go to the base of it, and hit the "circle" button. The lid will fly off and out pops Vincent. After a while he will go back into his coffin. Talk to him again, then after a period of time, he will go back into his coffin a second time. Try to talk to him once again and he will say, "Let me rest, or leave me alone," or something to that affect. That is all you can do now. After that is done, go find Sephiroth in the library. Let him throw a materia at you, then he will leave. Continue your way out of the mansion, but before you completely go out, Vincent will show up, and say that he would like to join your group. If he did not do this, you did something wrong, like not talking to him enough times, or not even finding him. But if you get him on your team, then CONGRADULATIONS!
