Beating The 3D Battler,
Mog House, and The Crane Game
The 3D Battler
Okay, this is by far the hardest and stupidest way to make GPs in all of Gold Saucer.
The game itself costs 200 Gil to play, and, as my friend puts it, is
a violent version of Paper-Rock-Scissors. The only real difficult part about this game
is that I find the computer is either phsyci or it cheats like crazy. This can become very frustrating
when you get into higher levels and are wagering larger amounts of GPs.
Odds are that you'll lose, but it is still a cool game.
The first battle is pretty easy and it seems the computer is not yet frustrated
enough with you yet to cheat. This is probably why if you loose here you get nothing.
The next battle is a little tougher and it seems the guy can counter more of your moves.
If you lose the second fight you again get no money. The the third guy is really tough and
if you lose to the guy you get a big 3 GP. Considering how high the odds are against
you this is a major rip off. If you do somehow manage to beat the third guy, you go on
to fight a fourth guy. Who is impossible, I think. Losing to the fourth enemy will get you
a tiny sum of 30 GP.
IF you can win against your fourth opponent, I'm not even sure how much GP you earn, but this
will happen only if your computer is placed upside-down on your desktop when the weather is 22 degrees
and you've howled three times in the morning at exactly 8:00 A.M. in a Spice Girls Baby Tee. Basically,
don't expect it to happen. Play Basketball or race Chocobos instead.
Mog House
Mog House is clearly the stupidest game in all of Gold Saucer. When you first beat the game you are
awarded 30 GPs for it. After that you get zip. All that you have to do
is continue to feed him till he's full, then STOP FEEDING HIM!!! Easy as pie right!
It is supposed to be even easier because apparently you can tell when he's had enough
to eat because the sound he makes changes. I don't know where this rumor came from but I will be
damned if I can beat this game.
The Crane Game
You know those annoying little crane machines at all carnivals and in the corners
of all arcades? Those rigged ones that are impossible to win?
Well, like in all amusement parks there are some in Gold Saucer. The only advantage
to these ones are that you always win. Well...kind of. Although you always win the
prizes usually really suck! But don't let this keep you from the Crane
Game altogether. There are a few good prizes hiding in there like, Elixers, Megalixers,
80 GPs, or if you luck out 100 GPs. But don't expect to win these prizes often. They are like
one in 100 chance of getting.
